Kamomioya-jinja Shrine (Kamomi Oyajinja) is located in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City. It is also known as Shimogamo Shrine (Shimogamo Jinja).
It is a Shikinaisha listed in the Register of Deities (Kamishichi-sha Shrine) of the Engishiki law as one of the ichi-no-miya (primary shrines) of the former Yamashiro province, one of the 22 Shrines (Myojin Taisha),
It was classified as a Kanpei Taisha under the old shrine classification system, and is now a Beppyo Jinja of the Association of Shinto Shrines.

・From Kyoto Station to Kitaoji Station, take City Bus # 1 or # 205 from Kitaoji Station (About 25 minutes.) to Shimogamo-jinja mae (Or in front of Tadasu no mori).
・From Kyoto Station to Shimogamo-jinja Mae (Or in front of Tadasu no mori), take city bus # 4 and # 205.
・Transfer from Kyoto Station to JR Nara Line: Kyoto Station – Tofukuji Station – Transfer (Keihan: Bound for Demachiyanagi Station) – Keihan Tofukuji Station – Demachiyanagi Station – Walk for 12 minutes: Shimogamo-jinja
・5 minutes walk from Hankyu Kawaramachi Station – Keihan Gion Shijo Station – Demachiyanagi Station – 12 minutes walk: Shimogamo-jinja Shrine
