1. Fushimi Inari Shrine – head shrine for some 30,000 inure shrines in Japan. it is famous for its endless vermillion tori (1,000 shrine gates). Fushimi inure was dedicated for the gods of agriculture, the deities were enrolled to ensure bountiful harvest, thus, Fox is traditionally sacred and is considered the messenger of Inari. According to folklore, it has been said that in the olden days the fox ate the insects that Ould harm the crops, which then led to bountiful harvest.
2. Kiyomizu-dera – The Main hall has a large wooden stage and was built without using a single nail. It is named after Otowa Waterfall which is said to be good for your longevity, health and study if you drink.
3. Kinkaku-ji – pagoda made to house the sacred relic of Buddha. The gardens and architecture focused around a central Golden Pavillon which evoke paradise on earth.
4. Arashiyama – Sagans bamboo forest is a pleasantly cool 100m long walkway that begins from the side of the world heritage Tenyuji Temple.
