Temple of the Golden Pavilion 金閣寺 Ryōan-ji Temple 龍安寺 This temple is a Zen temple located in Ukyō-ku, Kyoto, Japan. The temple’s garden is considered one of the finest examples of kare-sansui (dry landscape garden). The temple and its gardens are listed as one of the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
